Christmas Reimagined

I have painted two pictures where the traditional Christmas robin has been replaced by the magpie. One for sorrow depicts the loss and displacement many are feeling in areas of conflict at Christmas and the hope of peace, holding onto their national identity.

Two for Joy celebrates the hopes of a nation and the rebuilding of cities and the lives of people who have lost everything but proudly stand up for their nationality, ideals and beliefs.
